Wet curtains are a must-have poultry farming facility that is necessary for every farm. It can be combined with a wind turbine and is the most cost-effective way to cool down in summer. However, if the farmer installs the wet curtain, the installation is not reasonable, it will not play a good cooling effect. Referring to the experience of other farmers, the author summarizes the points that need to be paid attention to when installing the wet curtain, and now share it with the farmers.

1. The house should be as closed as possible: we know that the wet curtain device relies on the formation of negative pressure in the house to cool down. If the house is not tightly sealed, no negative pressure can be formed in the house, and the cold wind through the wet curtain will be less, and the hot air outside the house will be drilled in. Therefore, it is not possible to open the window because the summer temperature is high.

2. Reasonably determine the number of fans in the house and the area of the water curtain: the number of fans and the area of the water curtain should be determined according to the local climatic conditions, the size of the chicken, and the stocking density. At the same time, the effective air intake area will decrease due to the use of the wet curtain device for a period of time. Therefore, it can be appropriately increased when calculating the wet curtain area. Under normal circumstances, according to the feeding of 10,000 laying hens, if the average weight of the chicken is 1.8kg, it is necessary to equip 25m2 and 4 sets of fans.

3. Keep a certain distance between the wet curtain and the chicken battery cage system: Why should the wet curtain and the chicken fingertips keep a certain distance? In fact, this is to prevent the cold wind from coming in directly on the chicken. Under normal circumstances, the interval between the wet curtain and the chicken cage should be 2-3 meters. In this case, it is not easy to damage the wet curtain when transporting the house to clean the work and collecting the egg cart.

4. Be sure to control the opening time of the wet curtain: If the wet curtain opening time is not well controlled, it will cause waste of water and electricity. Therefore, it is generally preferred to open the wet curtain from 13 to 16 o'clock every day.

5. Check the wet curtain before opening: In order to ensure the normal operation of the wet curtain system, before the wet curtain is opened, be sure to check the 3 aspects: (1) Check whether the fan is normal. (2) Check whether the corrugated fiber paper, water collector, water pipe, etc. are smooth and normal, and whether there is sediment. (3) Check whether the filter of the submersible pump inlet is in good condition and whether there is water leakage in the water circulation system.

6. Reasonable use of wet curtains: During the use of wet curtains, the wet curtain filter should be cleaned once a day. Regularly check if the wet curtain is blocked, deformed or collapsed. If this happens, it will affect the cooling effect. The cause of the blockage is dust in the air, impurities in the water, poor quality of the wet curtain paper, deformation, no drying after use, or no mold on the surface for a long time.

Therefore, the wet curtain device preferably keeps the fan running for more than half an hour after cutting off the water source every day, and then stops after the wet curtain is dried, so as to prevent the growth of the algae, thereby avoiding clogging of the water pump, the filter and the water distribution pipe.
