Laying hen breeding equipment manufacturers share the method of saving feed in layer breeding

      1. The design of the trough

The size and depth of the trough should be designed according to the breed and age of the chicken, and the brooding will gradually be converted to a trough. After dewarming chickens, the bottom of the trough is sharp, and the belly is big and the mouth is small. 2cm curling should be added to the upper edges of both sides to prevent the chickens from entering the trough to grab feed or feed overflow and waste. The location of the feed trough should be appropriate, and the upper edge of the trough is 2cm higher than the chicken back to prevent the feed from being lifted out of the trough for waste in layer chicken cage.

   2. Diet match

To match the ration, choose feed materials that are residue-free and pollution-free and add vinegar. In the ingredients, the ratio of protein, energy, vitamins, minerals and other nutrients in the feed should be determined according to the breed, age, male and female, and use of the chicken.

   3. Feeding habits

Regular and quantitative feeding, feeding less and more frequently, feeding at a time does not exceed 1/3 of the depth of the trough. Deworming should be done regularly to reduce the ineffective input of feed. Regular feeding of sand grains is conducive to the digestion and absorption of feed, which can save feed and reduce waste. Tests have shown that compared with non-feeding sand, the digestibility can be increased by 3%-10% for chicken in layer chicken breeding equipment.

  4. Feed storage

Keep the feed well. The feed should be placed in a ventilated, dry, and dark place to prevent the feed from oxidation, mildew and deterioration, and waste caused by rats and crows eating. Rodents must be eradicated regularly in chicken farms; for the moldy and deteriorating feed, it is required to ventilate and prevent moisture when storing the feed, and air it regularly or add an anti-mold agent.

  5. Nutrition ratio

If the nutrition is not complete, it will inevitably increase the feed intake to make up for the lack of a certain nutrient substance, thus causing feed waste. Therefore, it is necessary to feed a nutritionally balanced complete feed to greatly increase the feed conversion rate.

  6. Lighting control

Reasonable lighting system can not only ensure nutrient supply, but also increase feed conversion rate, thereby reducing feed waste. The suitable light time for laying hens is 16h and the intensity is 3W/m2.

  7. Ambient temperature

Unsuitable temperature will increase the feed intake of chickens. Therefore, effective cold-proof and heat-preservation measures should be taken in winter, and effective heatstroke prevention and cooling measures should be taken in summer, and strive to control the appropriate house temperature to improve the feed conversion rate.
